Father (by Ray Fuego)

Strip me of all my possessions and I will not let out a sigh.
No piece of fabric on my skin could ever more truthfully represent who or what I am
than my birthday suit. Naked.

In a society life where they wash our brains,
often only to speed along the question – who am I?
until we no longer know who we are.

Did we ever truly know?

We call out to the moons and glitter spangled sheet
under which all of us sleep,
eat and count centuries
awaiting an answer.

Not knowing that we,
are
the likeness
of what we’ve been searching for all these centuries
and found.
The greatest secret many of us know about
but no one will disclose.

Be God-fearing.
