A House to Clean (by Ray Fuego)
I,
who follows
no man,
woman,
nor laws
steeped in my ‘own’ life philosophy
live and die between the lines
on the stage of shamelessness.
My principles not religious
but mythological like excavated gold.
The wind blows me westward,
To a place where everything feels familiar
Yet the scent of the air has long faded from my memory.
Fiery are the words and statements I make.
Fire is pure, undeniable and ruthless.
Where there’s no cave in which to hide from honesty
from here to eternity,
may they burn in eternal fire.
(translated by Scott Rollins)
